About this person
Knut Alvson Moi (1809–1883) ble ansatt som ferjemann ved Storstraumen i april 1844 og bosatte seg på husmannsplassen Straumen under Nedre Kvåle. Da den første brua åpnet i 1858, mistet han ferjemannsstillingen. Han utvandret til Amerika med familien i 1861.
