Gift 1910 med Anna Johansdatter Hagen, født 1884 i Søndre Land og død i Amerika 1968. Paret hadde seks barn og farm ved Ottosen i Iowa. Martin døde i Amerika i 1935. Ektefellens bosted på Lognset og barnas navn er ikke dokumentert i utsnittet.
