Plassen og beboerneStokdalstrø var en husmannsplass under Stokdal, i dag kalt Stokkdalen. Området lå tidligere i Malvik og ligger nå i Trondheim. Johan Christian Haldosen Solem og Anna Margrethe Ingebrigtsdatter bodde som innerster på plassen i 1865.Fra plassen til AmerikaDatteren Hanne Emelie, født her i 1868, utvandret til Iowa og giftet seg med en Pedersen. Søsteren Ingeborganna Kristine, født her i 1871, giftet seg i Chicago i 1893 og kom senere tilbake til Norge.
